Work party Saturday March 4th 9:00 a.m. we will be building pin tables for the bowling pin competition preparing the new cardboard backers for use tape punch the hole installing The Grommet and building new Target stands. If possible bringing woodworking tools will help in speeding up the process. One Person Needed for a Work Party

We are in the process of installing a cell phone repeater to provide emergency cell phone service to rifle/handgun range area. We need one volunteer who is comfortable, and capable of, working in tight spaces. The work involves entering the restroom building attic to install the electronics and an interior antenna and also running a cable to the far end of the building. (The air handler and ducting are up there making things a little tight.) Work will start at 10:00 Saturday morning and we should be done within 2 hours. Volunteer Opportunity- Hampton Gun Show Nov 30th and Dec 1st

Looking to earn some service hours? The Airfield Shooting Club will have a booth at the Hampton Gun Show on Saturday, November 30th and Sunday, December 1st. We need at least 4 volunteers on Saturday and 2 more volunteers for Sunday. If you would like to help out and represent our club, please email the Gun Show Director, Gary at [email protected]. Volunteers needed for 4-H District Shoot on Sat. Jun. 29th, 2019

Volunteers still needed for the 4-H District Shoot on Saturday June 29th, 2019 from 7am – 6pm .. Position needed for Saturday: Admin – to check in shooters RSO on 50M RSO on 100M Escort on 50M – Walks with shooter w/uncased rifle. Escort on 100M – Walks with shooter w/uncased rifle. Cleanup after the match. Work Party – Saturday, May 25th 2019

On Saturday, May 25th 2019 , starting at 9:30am.  We will be having a work party. This work party will be rebuilding frames and the knee wall on the short berm range, and staining/preserving the wall between the 50 and 100 yard range and general clean up of the range in preparation for WOT. You will need… Tools for building and repairing the frames.. Circular saws, cord less drills / saws, Hammers and any other woodworking tools. Painting equipment and sprayers stain the wall with and even ladders to reach. It’s that time of year again, Time to meet and speak with our Virginia Legislatures about issues and rights that face us. The ASC wants to encourage all of our members to attend the VCDL rally in Richmond on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 8 AM – 2 PM The Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) is at the forefront of protecting your rights in Virginia and we encourage all of our members to support them as much as possible. Work party… Friday, June 1st 2018, starting at 9:00 am

We will be installing new posts for the front range gate. Will be starting at 9:00AM and work until work is completed. All the ranges should be open during the work, but the entrance maybe close temporally while we work. We will need… digging tools, ropes, saws, hammers, squares, rulers, etc… and any other tools you can think of to install 2 large telephone poles (also may need chains saws and equipment for clearing brush etc…) If you have some free time this is a great opportunity to help out the club and make a few service hours. The XO, handles maintenance and security of the ASC range, property, and equipment. He/she will also run the Work Parties.
