Rimfire results for August, 2023

Airfield Shooting Club completed another successful 22LR rimfire bench rest match for August.   The rimfire match follows a modified American Rimfire Association rule format on the 50 yard line.  Next match for this year is scheduled in September, If you haven’t had a chance to test your shooting skills, here’s your opportunity.  See you at the 50 yard line!  Reserve your bench early! Defensive shooting match tomorrow Saturday July 29th weather looks to be clear but hot so please make sure if you are coming to dress appropriately there will be a water cooler full of ice water and I will have fans out there but we are expecting actual air temperature of 95° if you have pop-up canopies please bring them shade is our friend   I hope to see everyone out there tomorrow let’s go have a fun and safe day of shooting

July 29th defensive shooting match and debut of the two gun category

July 29th the next defensive shooting match and debut of the two gun category set up time is 9:00 a.m. Shooters brief is 9:30 followed by stage walkthrough  because of the July Heat if you have a pop-up canopy that you can bring with you to the range please do so the stages have been designed so that if we can get enough pop-up canopies a covered singular firing line is possible to minimize time in the direct sun and Heat If you have any questions please contact the defensive shooting director Taylor Strickland at  [email protected]   Stages are attached Here–> Defensive shooting match stages 7-29-2023

May Rimfire Benchrest match has been Cancelled..

Please be advised that the May Rimfire Benchrest match has been Cancelled.. The range is still closed but very close to completion. With anticipated rain in the forecast for Sunday and with the work party nearing completion it was decided to cancel this month’s match. Be sure and thank all the team members that participated in the construction at the site. It looks awesome! See you next month. Director: Tom

WOT – June 10th 2023

June 10th, 2023 – Calling all Ladies!  Join us for Women on Target!   All women, ages 12+ are welcome and encouraged to come out to experience firearm education in a safe and supportive environment.  This women only event will cover education in pistol, shotgun, rifle and archery.  The cost is $65/person this year and will be inclusive of all firearms, ammo and lunch at the Conference Center. Women will benefit from one-on-one instruction with certified instructors in each discipline.  Participants will receive materials and a certificate of participation. This is a fantastic event for those women that have never held a firearm before to maybe those that have experience in a discipline but not another. Additional task added to the work party this Saturday

This Saturday in addition to new bowling pin tables and Target stands we will also need help with the preparation of new Target backers taping hole punching and inserting the grommets. There are approximately 75 backers that need to be prepared so there will be plenty to do

Work party Saturday March 4th 9:00 a.m. we will be building pin tables for the bowling pin competition preparing the new cardboard backers for use tape punch the hole installing The Grommet and building new Target stands. If possible bringing woodworking tools will help in speeding up the process.
