Ken Grover Memorial Open (NSSA) Skeet shoot … Oct 26th – 28th 2019

Skeet shooters… On October 26th – 28th the Airfield Shooting Club will be holding the Ken Grover Memorial Open.. A NSSA registered skeet shooting competition. If you need to get targets in, here is your chance… If you are not a member of the NSSA, You may join at the shoot.. The competition will have the following categories: 12 gauge 20 gauge 28 gauge 410 gauge Doubles There will be a cash prize for first place in each category. The cost is $25 per gun. In order to participate you must pre-register and be a member of NSSA. On the day of the shoot you will need; 1. Cash or check for $25 for each gun. (Checks are to be payable to Airfield Shooting Club) 2. NSSA membership card. (You may join the NSSA at the shoot, the yearly membership is $30.00) 3. Classification Sheet. The competition will allow mixed guns each day so you may compete on any of the 3 days. Ties for Gun Championships will be determined by long runs from the front or back whichever is longer. Volunteers needed for 4-H District Shoot on Sat. Jun. 29th, 2019

Volunteers still needed for the 4-H District Shoot on Saturday June 29th, 2019 from 7am – 6pm .. Position needed for Saturday: Admin – to check in shooters RSO on 50M RSO on 100M Escort on 50M – Walks with shooter w/uncased rifle. Escort on 100M – Walks with shooter w/uncased rifle. Cleanup after the match. ASC Flyer – 2019 Special Election Edition

ASC Members, Below you will find a link to the Special Election Edition of the ASC Flyer – ASC Flyer 2019 Special Election Edition – On July 20, 2019, the Airfield Shooting Club will be holding its annual ASC Member Election Meeting and Breakfast for all active ASC Members. We will meet in the Gray Building dining hall with breakfast being served at 8:30 a.m. Breakfast is paid for by the ASC for all ASC Members active and in good standing. Please note that family or guests accompanying Members will not be paid for by the Club. After breakfast, ASC President and other Board members will address Club matters. We will then hold the election to choose the new ASC Board. All active Members will be eligible to vote. We encourage all members to participate and choose the future leadership of your Club. Work Party – Saturday, May 25th 2019

On Saturday, May 25th 2019 , starting at 9:30am.  We will be having a work party. This work party will be rebuilding frames and the knee wall on the short berm range, and staining/preserving the wall between the 50 and 100 yard range and general clean up of the range in preparation for WOT. You will need… Tools for building and repairing the frames.. Circular saws, cord less drills / saws, Hammers and any other woodworking tools. Painting equipment and sprayers stain the wall with and even ladders to reach. If you have some free time this is a great opportunity to help out the club and make a few service hours If you have any questions… Please contact Mark ..  [email protected] *(Both the 50 and 100 yard ranges will be closed at this time)* Edit: Correction to last post;  This will be a repair and paint/ stain work party… brush repairs will be done at a later date.

ASC Pistol Class April 27, 2019

On April 27th  2019 the Airfield Shooting Club will be hosting a Pistol Class. More information regarding the course can be found by following the below link. ASC Pistol Class Note: This course has limited space; the course is filled as payments are received. We allow online payments or payments mailed to my home address in Wakefield (PO BOX 523).  Payments must be received prior to class to be allowed to attend. If you already have a concealed carry permit, this is a great refresher course, especially if the first course you took to acquire your permit did not have a lecture on the laws in Virginia. If you have family, friends and neighbors who wish to acquire a concealed carry permit, then this course will fully prepare them!!! ASC 2019-2020 Club Renewals

Hello ASC Members. Your 2019-2020 renewal forms have been sent out. Most of you will receive it via email.  If you don’t see it, check your spam/ junk folder. Sometimes it gets stuck in there. A few of you will get it via U.S. mail. Should be a few days depending on the U.S. mail. If you have any problems or questions, Please contact [email protected] ** Renewal Due Date ** You will have from March 31st to June 1st to pay your membership dues and other costs owed to ASC. The ASC gate combination will be changed after the April Board of Directors meeting. You will receive your new membership card and new combination after your invoice is paid. Late renewals will be handled in accordance with the updated ASC By-laws. Note. If you are not renewing your ASC Membership this year, Please email the [email protected] to let us know.
