Gun Show Volunteers

Our gun show coordinator has realized some of our members may not know how to get in touch with him. He maintains a list of willing members, and reaches out when a gun show is scheduled to solicit workers. Working gun shows is a good way to earn storage hours. If you are interested in being included on gun show notices and working gun shows please send an email to Gary Wyse ([email protected]).

Shooter Tune up Reminder August 29th

Good afternoon fellow members! Reminder that August 29th  is our next Shooter Tune Up!  It’s FREE.  It is open to all members and their immediate family. Tired of being inside due to COVID, come on out and get some fresh air!  The session will go from 1000-1200.  Our own Fletcher Dunton will be conducting a rifle session.  We encourage you all come on out with your rifle (doesn’t matter what type) and Fletch will help you get more out of it. What some of our participants said about us: “I thoroughly enjoyed our shooter tune-up session at the Airfield shooting club! “ “I appreciate the hands-on demo.” “Thanks for taking the time and making everything easy to understand.” We look forward to seeing you! Respectfully, Scott Sampson 757-618-1525 Chief Instructor ASC #762

ASC Social Media/Member Interaction

Members, At the members meeting a few members asked if we could expand opportunities to interact with other club members online. Of course both of these options are optional and just a means to interact with one another. The ASC Facebook group is now private, and only verified members are within. You can get there by going here ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/airfieldmembers/ ) . When joining it should prompt and ask for your member number. We’ll only be allowing members in this group. If you don’t supply your member number as a response to the question your request will be rejected. I also added a forum to the website. Registration may take a bit as reviewing people signing up are actually members is a manual process but it is much more private than Facebook. Facebook isn’t known to be open to pro 2A conversations, or advertising of such events/goods. You can sign up for the ASC Member Forum here: https://airfieldshootingclub.org/forum/ . Once you’re there click register in the top left and register away. Initially there aren’t many members in either service, but over time we should see more activity. If you should have any issues obtaining access to either please let me know via …
