September Service Rifle Results

The Service Rifle match continues to be conducted on the second Saturday of the month, and registration starts at 8:30am with the first relay being conducted at 9am (after the range safety and orientation briefs). The cost is $5 for ASC members, and $10 for guests. Anyone is welcome to participate—even those who don’t have the tradition M1 Garand or M-1903 Springfield. The next match is scheduled for 13 October 2018.

Shoot the Labor Day Weekend Pinfest

Yes gentle shooters, another month has passed. Time to write the rent check, clean pistols, and drive to the Airfield Shooting Club’s monthly installment of “How The Pins Fall”. This Saturday, September 1st, bowling pin shooters take over the range beginning at 9:30. Please join us. The match is open to the public and we would love to see you. Calvary Reformed Presbyterian Church has rented the 50 Yard (3 participants) and Skeet Ranges (3 participants) for Saturday, 1 September 2018 from 4:00—6:00pm. ASC is looking for one Skeet Range Qualified RSO along with one RSO to serve on the 50 Yard Range. RSOs should report at least 30 minutes prior to the event, and be able to assist 4-H Center personnel to set up, provide the safety brief and range orientation to the participants, and ensure safety standards are conducted according to ASC Range Rules. August 2018 Bowling Pin Match Results

Once again, we had a nice crowd come out for the August Match. Despite concerns earlier in the week about rain, it started off warm and quickly became oppressive, as August is wont to do. Regardless, our shooters pressed on through the heat of the day to turn in some impressive scores. A grudge match was also settled with Frank Sanders and his big 10MM cannon overwhelming Art Schoner in major with lunch on the line. These and the rest of the scores are listed below. We will see you over the Labor Day weekend for our next match.

It’s Bowling Pin Shooting Time

June Service Rifle and Zombie Match Results

Perfect weather and a threat of Zombies brought a large crowd of participants to the ASC 100 yard range for the monthly Service Rifle and Zombie Match. If your rifle has been gather dust, it’s time to get get out and run some rounds down the barrel! The match is held on the second Saturday of each month and is open to both ASC members ($5) and non-members ($10).

RSO’s Needed for Skeet Range August 11 1400-1600

The Airfield Shooting Club is looking for two Skeet Range Safety Officers (RSOs) on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 2 PM to 4 PM to oversee the safety of 21 men who are from a coaching group using the range. This is a great opportunity to obtain some volunteer hours and ensure that visitors to the ASC ranges have a SAFE opportunity to practice their shooting skills and support the Second Amendment.
