In need of AC tech

It seems the clubs building AC unit has taken a turn for the worst and I am being advised that the AC in the bathrooms and office is not working. Any club members that are AC techs that are willing to take a look at the unit please contact me, the MO or Art, the president. Thank you in advance. CoryAka the MO.

Locks have been changed

The locks for the gates, bathrooms and sign in sheds have been changed. If you do not have the new codes and you have renewed your membership and have not received your membership card please reach out to the secretary. If you have not renewed and wish to stay a member of the club, please reach out to the secretary to get your renewal completed. Cory aka the MO

4H Center Work Day

Here is a chance for service hours if you still need some(this workday is before the end of March so hours should apply to the current membership year), or if you want to help out the 4H center. From Bubba at the 4H Center, mulch will be spread so pitch forks and square point shovels will be needed. Loppers for cutting brush and a chainsaw or two would be nice as the center has a log splitter and they need some longer logs cut up. I am sure a good general cleanup will occur also so maybe a leaf blower or 2 would’nt hurt. I will not be at the work party and I am not sure if any board members will be there either. If you decide to show up please sign in and out at the center and let them know you are a ASC member, please write your member number down, as I am sure that Kathy will ensure that the club gets a list of  ASC volunteers. Work Party Success

Thanks to the 25 members for showing up and knocking it out of the park today. Hope I get it all that we completed. -Pin tables were made for the upcoming illustrious pin match season, may all your fired rounds not hit the tables! LOL -Frames for all the ranges were built and extras for a few, speaking of frames, Jim Manning said, hey lets expand the 100 (well I am guessing), so he and a small crew measured the range and laid out new holes, dug new holes and now the club has 5 frames on the 100 for your shooting pleasure, please try not to hit the frames, LOL. -Brenda, Wes and a small army worked on the shotgun range and tore down part of a wall that was falling down, put together traps on carts and we even placed the trap all the way at the top of the tower. Awesome job to all that helped! Don’t worry Steve we know you were working hard. Also, thank you to Matt, my son, for using his skid steer to bring all the traps from the conex to the 5 stand. – We then had a small crew, Wes, …

Renewal season is upcoming but not here yet

From the Board: “Members, do not submit any payments for 2026 dues until you get an email from the secretary telling you how much you owe. If you submit payments before those emails go out they will just be returned to your card and you will have to pay again when the bill does go out. If for any reason you think you have a bad email on file then contact [email protected] or email [email protected]. If you suddenly find your email and realize you never paid 2025, contact the secretary BEFORE submitting any funds. At best, your amount will be wrong because it did not include the late fee and if you waited too long you may have to go through a different process to renew. Any funds you send prior to conversation with the secretary will be returned to the card you made the payment on and you will have to go through the repayment once you have the correct amount.”   Cory AKA The MO

Safety Incident/Damage to Range

Hello from the MO, Today, Sunday October 12, 2025, while I was at the range making some minor repairs to the range camera system and also sighting in a firearm on the SRB/50, I noticed some damage to the gutters on the front of the structure. It appears that someone discharged a round in the center of the range in the vertical position up thru the bottom of the gutter and the round exited thru the gutter guards. Yes, this damaged the newly installed gutters, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY a round left the range and had the potential to do harm to someone. The thin metal on the gutter system will do little to slow down a high velocity round. From the diameter of the hole it appears to have been from a 22 caliber firearm, most likely an AR type firearm. All members need to take a step back and reevaluate their own safety and range operations along with the rules of the range. This is the 2nd incident that has been identified in less then 2 weeks and both of this incidents had the potential for a round to leave the range, this one most likely did. Please be …

If time permits we may have to remove some gravel from inside the wall to repair a few troubled spots and then restore the gravel from the top of the wall, good ole bucket brigade possibly. small generators and extension cords, 6 or 8 foot or small extension ladders , 1/2 in drills, 1/2 in wood boring bits at least 12-14 in long(we have a few), impact guns and deep well sockets(I believe it is a 3/4in nut for the carriage bolt) hammer or mallets, chop saw or skill saw, chalk strings, laser level if anyone may have …
