This month’s challenge, on Sunday, July 20th, is a speed shooting competition shooting at barnyard animals: (steel chickens, boars, turkeys & rams) in four strings to complete the match.  Each target hit is worth 1 point.  40 points total for each match.   The course of fire is designed to be completed by even the most inexperienced shooter using one 10-round magazine without reloading “on the clock.” I recommend a minimum of two magazines, each holding five rounds.  It is open to all; even the young and old can easily participate. Bowling Pin Match Update Friday Evening

Gentle Shooters, The weatherman is having trouble making up his mind, but your match directors are not. The hourly forecast seems to indicate that we will get the match in. But we also know that our shooters aren’t terribly interested in driving to the range only to not shoot. So your match directors have decided that we are shooting rain or shine. We will be bringing steel to the range and expect to set it up in the 50 foot berm if we cannot shoot pins. There will be a variety of targets, and timers for practice and entertainment. Assuming the weather is OK, we will shoot our regular match. Set up is 8:30 am and shooters meeting at 9. See you at the range Saturday, June 7th. Steven

We are looking  for 6 volunteers to work the district shoot on June 21, 2025. Hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Lunch will be provided. The point of contact is Jim Manning [email protected] Duties include escorting 2 shooters at a time to rotate through the rimfire silhouette matches. You may be asked to reset the silhouettes for the shooters. After the silhouettes matches are over, we will clear the 50 yard range and setup 3 position match. During the smallbore 3 Position Match, we will need 2 or 3 volunteers to clear the 100 meter range. The other 3 volunteers will help with the 3 Position shooters. When the 3 Position match is finished,  we will clear the 50 yard range again. At the end of the matches, we will restore the 50 yard range for general use.
