April Bowling Pin Match Results

It turned out to be crisp but lovely day for a match at the range. I guess a few of you are still practicing or scrounging up ammunition. For the nine of us who did attend, we go to see a little of everything including some spectacular early season failures. In addition, today’s contestants witnessed a new club record for clearing five pins from a table. Art Schoner now holds the club record for a 2.38 second relay. Congratulations. For the rest of us, the good, the bad and the just plain embarrassing results are listed below. See you next month at the range. A Bowling Pin Farewell to 2020

Gentle Shooters, I am always a bit melancholy for this post, which is my final match report for 2020. It has been an eventful year for all of us. Like many things, our season was shortened. For some of us who are used to being out and in front of people but now relegated to sitting behind a computer screen all day, just seeing old friends and being able to participate in an event we truly love was something to look forward to each month. Thanks to each and every pin shooter who came out in blistering heat and oppressive humidity. Thanks for helping to get the tables built, set up and broken down each month. . For going on pin patrol, finding and carting pins to the warehouse. Thanks for the atmosphere and the camaraderie. And most importantly, thanks for being safe competitors. On the note of competition, just a reminder to never give up. Our top two five gun aggregate shooters this month were separated 92/100’s of a second. Congratulations to both of them. Kudos to Art Schoner’s decisive carbine win. He has been gunning for it for a while now. Our next match will be Saturday, April …

November Bowling Pin Match Results

Gentle Shooters, We had an excellent day of both weather and friendship on our range today. The results featured some pitched battles for pin supremacy. In Carbine, the match was decided by under seven tenths of a second and the fastest string was a stingy one-one hundredth of a second. But this isn’t modern youth sports, so not everyone gets a trophy. Your results are listed below. We will see you at the last match of the season on December 5th.
