Women on Target June 8th, 2024

Our next event is:   June 8th, 2024 Cost: $75.00.  Fee is non-refundable unless approved by ASC Board. Fee includes: Use of loaner firearms, all ammunition, targets, instruction by NRA certified instructors and lunch. Attendance limited to the first 48 applicants. You MUST register to attend.  To register you must do TWO things (in order): Step 1 – Register on the NRA Website <here> Be sure to use your email and phone number that we can contact you at.  Details about the event will be sent to the email address entered at this site. Step 2 – If your registration on the NRA website was accepted and you were not put on the wait list in step 1, please pay <here>. Participants should choose “Class Fees” from the Purpose For Payment drop down.  The amount is $75/person. Please include participant(s) names in the Payment Description box when filling out the payment form. If it mandates an ASC member number just enter “9999”. Work Party – Saturday, January 19th 2019

We will be building frames for the range and insulating the water pump shed.You will need.. circular saws, cord less drills / saws, Hammers and any other woodworking tools. If you have some free time this is a great opportunity to help out the club and make a few service hours before the end of the membership year in March. WE NEED TWO RSOs ON TUESDAY, 23 OCTOBER

The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries will be using the Short Range Berm and 50-yard range for their annual qualification and we need two ASC RSOs to oversee them from 2:00—4:00pm. RSOs should report at least 30 minutes prior to the event, and be able to assist 4-H Center personnel to set up, provide the safety brief and range orientation to the participants, and ensure safety standards are conducted according to ASC Range Rules. No Power – Range Open on Sunday | Update Power Restored !

Due to the storm, there is no power or working well at the range. We do not have an estimate on when power will be restored. Please be advised that while the range is open, the bathrooms and houses for skeet and trap are not working.   ###################### As of 10/14/18 the power at the range is restored.

13 OCT- Call for one RSO on skeet range to support Men’s Retreat

WE NEED A SKEET RANGE QUALIFIED RSO FOR 13 October 2018 Peninsula Community Chapel has the Skeet Ranges from 10:00am—Noon. We have one RSO volunteer (w/o skeet qualification to assist on the field) but desperately need one more RSO who is Skeet Range Qualified to assist/coach around 15-20 for their Men’s Retreat. RSOs should report at least 30 minutes prior to the event, and be able to assist 4-H Center personnel to set up, provide the safety brief and range orientation to the participants, and ensure safety standards are conducted according to ASC Range Rules. Service Rifle & Zombie Match, Saturday, 13 October 2018

The range will be full of Boy Scouts working on their rifle marksmanship and shooting sports, but the 100-yard range will be open for the Service Rifle / Zombie Match this coming Saturday. Now that the weather is cooling off, it should be a good time. So make your plans and join us on the range at 8?30am for the Safety Brief and start of the first relay. Open to the public ($5 members, $10 non-members).

RSO needed for Skeet Range on Saturday, 13 October (10am-Noon)

ASC is looking for an RSO who is Skeet Range Qualified to set up and oversee the Men’s Retreat from Peninsula Community Chapel (estimated 15 men). If you’re looking for some service hours, here is an easy way to get some. If you’re interested, contact the Chief Instructor at [email protected].
