Our very own Ken Bowra has been nominated for the upcoming NRA Board Elections. I asked Ken to provide me with something to put out to the AASC membership on his thoughts and vision for the NRA:
As discussed, I am a candidate with the NRA 2.0 Reform Group.
We believe the governing of the NRA should be based on integrity and transparency. We will continue to fight for the 2nd Amendment and bring the NRA back to its mission of creating and supporting shooting programs, competitive shooting, and furthering firearms safety and education.
Our goal is to bring the NRA back to the mission and core values that made it the great organization it once was.
The reform movement has gotten rid of everyone who was associated with past issues and put in place safeguards like financial transparency to stop it from happening again.
Bottom line: The reform movement within the NRA is committed to restoring financial transparency, fiscal accountability and getting the NRA refocused on its core mission of defending the 2nd Amendment of the Bill of Rights.
