Moving the Firing Line Forward
Since the SRB is closed while we make repairs to it, I wanted to make sure that people knew how to move the firing line closer to the berm. If you are interested in shooting at closer distances than 25 yds, you are able to move the line forward of the existing firing line. To do so there are a few things that you need to do: All parties on the line must agree to it (including the RSO). The RSO would call the line cold (ie all parties must case their firearms or holster them). RSO announce we are moving the line down range. Everyone moves to the location as designated by the RSO. It is great if there is a cone or something that people can see but if not the RSO will do their best to maintain a straight line so no one is forward of someone else. At this point the RSO can all the line hot and commence shooting. It is imperative that any personnel that are moving behind the firing line have their guns cased or holstered.
