ASC Flyer News Bulletin Jul 2016

Paddy Maloney's picture

Hello All,

This news bulletin is provided to talk about how to secure our gate at the ASC Range. Perhaps some of you maybe confused on how to lock the gate so I am sending another bulletin out with pictures to illustrate how we lock our gate. This is important as 4H personnel or safety personnel might need access and they cannot gain access if the lock is locked to the chain. That is why we use the two lock system. I also have provided some safety information about weather and lightning. There are some helpful tips and links to articles that are interesting.

Enjoy!!

A group has rented those ranges from the 4H center and as always we need to provide RSOs for safe operation.

Please contact Mike at 757-572-2835 or instructor@airfieldshootingclub.org if you can help.

Thank You.

RSO's NEEDED

Want to get your volunteer hours and have some fun too?  We will have Boy Scouts using the ranges on May 10th and will need RSO’s.  They will be using all ranges so we need 4 RSO’s for the day. If you are available for the day you can satisfy your service hour requirements all at one time. Please contact me at instructor@airfieldshootingclub.org or call me at 757-572-2835.

We also have Scouts using ranges on May 24th and May 31st  If you can help with any of these events please contact me.

Ideally there will two shifts of two volunteers, two show up at about 7:30AM to open up the range and conduct a safety brief at 8:15AM. They will go to about Noon and the second shift would takeover at Noon and go to 4PM and close up the range.
