Range Road Closed - Volunteers Needed!

Attention ASC Members:Due to the effects of Hurricane Matthew, the range road is not safe for travel, especially cars and low to the ground vehicles. We recommend anyone driving to the range to do so at there own risk, until the road is fix.

The Director of the 4-H Center, Mel Atkinson, has asked for volunteers to help with emergency repairs on the road.  If you want to fulfill some ASC service hours, please contact the ASC Secretary at  secretary@airfieldshootingclub.org

Service Rifle / Zombie Match October Cancelled

The weather forecast for 8 October 2016 is predicting "Rain showers in the morning will evolve into a more steady rain in the afternoon. High 73F. Winds NE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall may reach one inch." Therefore, in light of the potential bad weather coming, the October Match is cancelled. We will have the next match on 12 November 2016.

Labor Day Bowling Pin Match

Greetings Gentle Shooters,

     We have our regularly scheduled Bowling Pin Match this Saturday, September 3rd at the ASC Range in Wakefield. We will set up at 9:15 and begin shooting promptly at 10 AM. Range Closed - Sat. Aug. 20th

Just a friendly reminder the Ranges 50, 100 and Skeet-Trap fields wil be close to members on

Saturday, August 20th.

The Camp Family has an event going on and has rented the ranges.

There also will be no board meeting this Saturday..  It will be on the next Saturday the 27th @ 9:00am

Service Rifle August 2016 Match Results

Despite the heat index rising into the 100+ degree range, and the humidity being thick enough to cut with a knife, there were eight participants who made it to the range to shoot. Some great scores were turned in, and a good time was had by all. If you've not come to one of the Service Rifle or Zombie Matches we hold on the second Saturday of the month, it's time to mark your calendar and shake the dust off of that high power that you have sitting around. Remember, "Use them or Loose them." It might be fun to see is you can hit one or more vaunted "X" rings at a 100-yards.
