Hopefully, all of you received my e-mail alert concerning the Sussex County Board of Supervisors meeting on November 19, 2009.  I know that many of you received it, because you joined me at the Sussex Courthouse to voice our concerns with regards to Sussex County possibly requiring any pistol and shotgun ranges being constructed in areas zoned A-1 to apply for conditional use permits.  The meeting was one of many that the Board of Supervisors have had since August to consider the Planning Commission’s unanimous recommendation that the Board of Supervisors amend the current zoning

Civilian Markmanship Program Ammo Sales

The Civilian Marksmanship Program is currently selling Hornady Match ammunition that has been specifically designed for the M1 Garand.

The word is that another shipment of surplus HXP will arrive sometime in January and will be available for sale in the Feb-Mar timeframe.
 

M1 Garand Tune-up - Tightening the Gas Cylinder

When shooting an M1 Garand and here I am talking about a service or field grade rifle not a match grade rifle, there are three areas to check. Like buying a used car there are usually a few areas you want to examine to insure the car will operate properly. Three areas to check that will ensure your Garand will shoot fairly good groups are tightness with the gas cylinder, rear sight, and stock lock-up.
